Dive into the specifics of the sectional garage door to find the ideal match for your home.
What is a sectional garage door?
Sectional garage doors are made up of separate sections that vertically lift and then run on tracks back into the garage. This allows for closer parking to the garage as there is no "swing out". You can choose to either manually open these garage doors using a handle or opt for the luxury of having an automated sectional door which opens at the press of a button.
The Garador sectional garage door is manufactured with 42mm thick garage door sections, filled with insulating PU foam (sample picture above). This is encased by a steel skin on both sides of the panel, for a strong and stable construction, and a seal between each section to prevent drafts. With u-values down to 1.30 W/m2K, it provides great thermal insulation particularly for integrated garages.
Garador's sectional garage door comes in four different door designs, six surface textures and a selection of RAL colours, meaning there is an extensive range of door combinations to meet every desired aesthetic. The internal finish of the sectional garage door is pictured above.
The sectional garage door is designed with security as the first priority, which is why the door design incorporates an anti-drop device, safety tracks and a side hand guard to eliminate the risk of finger trapping. Additionally, the side tracks are completely enclosed, from top of bottom, so there are no gaps between the door leaf and the frame where fingers could get trapped.
What is the Autodor sectional garage door?
The Autodor is a sectional garage door supplied complete with a GaraMatic 9 operator, which retains all the usual features you have come to expect from a Garador sectional garage door, but at a lower price.
Garador's Autodor comes in two door designs, three surface textures (choices dependent on the door design chosen) and seven colour choices. The Autodor may have fewer options in designs, textures, and colours, but it still provides a stylish look that can enhance any home's aesthetic. The inside of the door has a silver coloured galvanisation which is covered with a clear protective lacquer.
The Autodor is manufactured with 42mm thick garage sections, filled with insulating PU foam and has u-values down to 1.30 W/m2K like the other sectional garage doors by Garador.
